Nietzsche - Take Off the Mask
“The mask is thrown away in solitude. He who is evil is at his most evil in solitude: which is where he is at his best…”
- Nietzsche, Daybreak
We often wear masks in our daily lives: a mask for work; one for friends; another for our parents. It is only in complete solitude that we may obsess over our darkest desires. And even then, some make their lives so that no such opportunity for solitude exists. You must avoid that mistake, and reserve that much needed space in your life.
